TalkScribe AI — Privacy Policy

This document explains which data the TalkScribe AI Android app ("TalkScribe", "we", "app") processes, how we store it, and the rights you have.

Data We Collect

• Email (optional)
  • Purpose: Sync Pro licenses and language favorites across devices.
  • Sharing: Only used to link with Google Play Billing—never sold or shared.
• Device identifiers (Android ID, etc.)
  • Purpose: Detect license limits (one vs. two devices) and prevent abuse.
  • Sharing: Processed only on MuVuSOFT servers.
• Usage counters
  • Purpose: Enforce the 10-minute free plan quota and monitor stability.
  • Contents: Only duration data—no text or audio logs.
• Anonymous error logs
  • General error codes for setup, mic permissions, and Google Speech API failures.
  • No personal info, text, or audio is stored in these logs.

Data We Don’t Collect

• Audio: Google’s SpeechRecognizer runs on-device; we never receive your mic feed.
• Text content: Dictation stays inside your editor; nothing is uploaded.
• Payment details: Managed entirely by Google Play.
• Location or contacts: Never requested.

How We Use Data

• Power the core features: continuous dictation, voice commands, and language switching.
• Verify your free plan quota and Premium subscription status.
• Analyze error logs to fix Android-version-specific issues.

Microphone Access

TalkScribe AI requires microphone permission to convert your speech to text. Here's how we handle it:

• When active: Microphone is only accessed when you tap the dictation button.
• When stopped: Microphone access stops immediately when you tap stop or close the app.
• No background listening: The app never listens in the background or when minimized.
• On-device processing: Speech recognition uses Android's built-in SpeechRecognizer—audio is processed by Google's speech services, not our servers.
• No audio storage: We never record, store, or transmit your audio.

Sharing

• Google Play Billing: We only confirm purchase status or cancellations.
• No ad SDKs, third-party analytics, or data brokers are integrated.

Storage & Security

• App settings live in encrypted Android SharedPreferences.
• All server calls use HTTPS (TLS 1.2+).
• Data minimization: we retain only what’s required.

Retention & Deletion

• License records remain only while needed; unused entries auto-anonymize after 12 months.
• Email talkscribe_android@muvusoft.site to request deletion of all associated data.

Children’s Privacy

TalkScribe AI is a productivity tool and is not directed to children under 13.

Policy Updates

We may update this policy for new features or compliance. Major changes are announced inside the app.
